Training
A 12-hour course conducted over two days.
In Brief
The purpose of the Voices Training program is to give students, adults, and seniors information that will allow them to clearly and effectively communicate about the National Violence Reduction Initiative and the Violence Integrative Prevention and Restoration (PAR) Model to other individuals.
Graduates of the Voices Training will receive essential information so that they can become an effective voice for the National Violence Reduction Initiative (NVRI) and its efforts to bring an end to the savage epidemic of violence. Voices Training graduates are a critical element in bringing the NVRI to communities throughout the United States.
Participants in the Voices Training learn about the new Violence Integrative Prevention and Restoration (PAR) Model — the revolutionary new evidence-based "social technology" which is the foundation for the NVRI. Voices Training graduates conduct house meetings, organize student groups, establish advocacy initiatives with their faith group, advocate on behalf of the NVRI to legislators, write articles about the NVRI and the PAR Model, act as a resource about the NVRI for others, and engage in other activies which further the success in moving the NVRI agenda forward.
The course includes:
12-hours of classroom training.
A resource package which is provided during the training.
An online Voices Tool Kit — a broad range of resources to enhance the classroom experience as well as to support grassroots organizing, effective communication about the NVRI and the PAR Model to others, and more.
A free subscription to the "Voices" email newsletter — an exclusive for Voices Training graduates. The e-newsletter provides additional resources, new connections, ideas, and news about the NVRI and the PAR Model.
